Three stars because Scheana really put herself out there for all of us to judge, just as she did on 11 seasons of Vanderpump Rules.
I can’t say I’ve ever been a fan of hers, because I have a very hard time with people who are self-centered, no matter how “nice” they are.
This is a memoir, so obviously it’s all about Scheana, but that combined with her signature ability to make every single thing she encounters about her was a lot to take in. She even made the deaths of loved ones about her!
A big selling point of this memoir was the revelation that Scheana’s husband, then fiancée, Brock, cheated on her while she was pregnant with their daughter and confessed in the midst of Scandoval. I really don’t have an opinion about the affair itself, except to say that hiding it until now makes Scheana a very big hypocrite. There’s really nothing else to add on that point.
If you’re a fan of VPR and have opinions about Scandoval and the way Season 11 was (mis)handled, then this book might annoy the hell out of you. Ultimately all this memoir does is confirm everything you already believed about Scheana Shay.
