If you read this book in elementary school and remembered it absolutely slapping, good news: this book is still ridiculous and awesome. It’s basically Michael Crichton for the children. We get some corporate conspiracies and surprise

eugenics and not so surprising child deaths

Do I have confidence that these children and parents are going to be ok reintegrating into society? No. ‘Specially not Pa. Who kinda seems like he might be inclined to start his own cult now. Ma and Pa are DEFINITELY getting divorced.

 

I kept thinking of how many loose threads there are - so many unanswered questions about what happens now. That would definitely have to be a book for adults.
