LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about these books. The descriptions are so rich. I both can relate to the familiarity and pine to experience of the spring air, wood stoves, newly greening foliage, rich and savory foods and drinks. And as for Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, who would not want to spend an afternoon having drinks with the man? Or simply watching him. Reading about him will just about cut it. One of my favorite literary characters of all time.
