It's a fun read if you're just looking for low-stakes (teehee) forbidden romance masquerading as a dangerous political intrigue romantasy novel. That SOUNDS mean but I swear that's the exact vibe I got, not a bad read at all!
The worldbuilding left something to be desired and while I think the main couple is sort of cute (maybe not my taste in ships tbf), I found that a particular turning point in the back end of the book felt a bit ooc. That's coming from someone who IS a sucker for the miscommunication trope. The trope is really good if done right and I just didn't like it so much here, is all!
