This was my first romance contemporary by Rebecca Yarros and she got me hooked within the first chapter, which is typically hard to do for me. This book kept me reading and kept me on my toes. I loved the chapters switching from past to present. It gave the perfect amount of context and didn't feel like the flow was disrupted.
