It's been almost 5 months since I read this book and it has taken me a long time to write the review because I didn't feel like reviewing it at that time. Also this is gonna sound more like a movie review rather than book's but bear with me.

“Some of us get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss...." He turned to me. "But every once in a while, you find someone who's iridescent, and when you do, nothing will ever compare.”

Flipped is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time. The coming of age drama/romance was brilliantly portrayed on the big screen and the cast was also beautiful. Due to which I decided to read the book but the book wasn't as sparking as the movie. I know it is hard to accept that Movie was better than the book but it really feels like it when you read it.
The He said/She said writing style wasn't that productive. Both POVS describing the same event made the plot quite repetitive. Although the writing in general was really emotive. There is an air of sweetness around when you watch the movie but the book often lagged it. Although the book wasn't cheesy at all. I gave it 3.5 stars because I loved these characters and feel like they deserve better and also I am a bit generous when it comes to rating. If the book's ending is good then it really does affect my rating cause I have a shitty memory and I forget most of details even before the book is finished. And since there is an air of uncertainty in the end where you don't know what actually happens after and the book leaves you guessing even after the story is finished (which worked for me and earned this book 3.5 stars).

Would I recommend this book?
I think you should watch the movie first and decide whether you want more insight on the character or not?
========================================================
Would I reread it again?
No, I don't plan to reread it anytime soon. But you never know.
