I got to the 85% mark in this book, and it was like a switch was flipped. I hated this book at that moment. I hated it so much that I rage skimmed the remaining 15% just so I could leave a rating on this book.

Cleo's reaction to finding out that Chip wasn't her biological father was a stupid, childish overreaction. A person showing up, that's what makes a parent. Chip provided a freaking paper trail to show that Cleo was loved and she just immaturely decides that she doesn't belong in Lake Starlight because he's not her biological dad, despite the roots she was making herself? I call bullshit. You need time to process everything? Fine. But the way she handled things with Denver, she didn't deserve him. I don't know that I have hated one half of a romance couple so much before.
