The Mortal Word by Genevieve Cogman

4.0

The first third of this book was really difficult to get into. The author felt it necessary to recap all of the rules for which this literary universe abide by. Considering this is the fourth or fifth book in the series, I really don’t know why we needed to explain so many of the different fundamental governances of this series. Once we got past that and the plot started to form the book became much better. By the last third of the book I could barely put it down.
