I rated this a five out of five the last time I've read this (about a year ago), which I could totally see why. During this year's reread, i found that the book personally felt too slow for me at the beginning and sometimes you'll think if that's a plot hole or if it's too repetitive, but you'll start realizing it is just how Flora processes things. Flora isn't necessarily an annoying or unlikable character, in fact she's admirable and beyond brave, she just needs a little more understanding and patience. I loved the characters that were with her too, I thought that they were great additions to the story, although I did feel a lot of annoyance towards her parents attitude towards her. The plot, towards the ending especially, was exciting and when there were points of escalation, I could not put the book down. Overall a pretty good read. If you have some time on your hands, I would recommend it if you're looking for something interesting yet quite slow. 3.75 stars.
