I absolutely loved the writing and food descriptions in this book. however, I found the characters all to be very unlikable in a way that kept me from connecting to any of them. I struggled to take a side in the conflict because of this too. I did however, enjoy the chaotic nature of the plot and how the author writes the climax to feel like we are sucked into a spiral that has gone out of control.
