Pippi in the South Seas by Astrid Lindgren

5.0

Goofy. Fun. High-spirited.

Story: In this third book in the Pippi Longstocking series, Pippi is back at Villekulla Cottage with her horse, monkey and her friends Tommy and Annika. But she's not there for long, she's off to the South Seas for more adventure!

Characters: Pippi is a red-haired, freckle-faced girl who lives alone in Villekulla Cottage. She tells lies, tricks adults, and (almost) everyone adores her. Tommy and Annika are the neighbor children and they get caught up in her adventures, though are much more grounded than Pippi.

Language: Each chapter is short and features a starting picture. Although Pippi doesn't go to school she attempts to use big words, but often wrong. She also likes inventing new words. Pippi is a family friendly series, accessible to all ages.

A nice quick light-hearted read.
