Yikes. Quick read but not pleasant in any way. Going for the same thing Grapes of Wrath was, but Grapes of Wrath had beauty to it amidst the misery. That family cared about each other. These characters were just....kinda pathetic in an utterly unentertaining way. Just yikes all around.
