The Blazing Star continues the story around the creation of the Clan. With every book, we see more how the cats start to separate themselves into different groups which will become the Clans at some point. This one gets 3.5 stars, since the plot is kind of going in circles and the characters behave really stupid. 

The plot was really not that great. Instantly after it was created, StarClan starts to give riddles and even the living cats themselves are annoyed by that. The riddle is also very easy to solve for the reader, so it gets boring fast with the cats still trying to figure it out. 

Clear Sky has some problems here too, but those problems are his own fault honestly. I still dislike him and can’t feel any sympathy for him at all. His actions and especially his change in character are a bit unbelievable: two books before, he threw out all cats of his groups that were ill, and now he
feels really sorry for Tom and takes him and One Eye in. One Eye is such a cartoonish villain and even Clear Sky should have noticed that something is not right with him from the beginning
. 

Still, the worst thing about this arc are how fast the characters fall in love with each other, it is seriously such a meme:
Gray Wing now has his third love interest, I think? We also have Thunder falling in love with Sky Flower – one of the worst romances in the whole series (yes, I said it). She is such a weird character and like with One Eye, it is clear from the beginning that she has no good intentions and Thunder is so stupid for not seeing this. Let’s be real: Thunder is just a big simp and I seriously start to dislike him for this weird behaviour. The fact that she was One Eye’s daughter made me laugh out loud because it was such a ridiculous plot twist.

At least the ending of The Blazing Star was enjoyable:
The plan with forcing One Eye’s cats to look into the sun was creative and I liked how they jumped from the trees like true ThunderClan cats. One Eye’s death came a bit quick
 

In contrast to other Warriors book, we already know the final result of Dawn of the Clans: the creation of the Clans. This makes this arc not as tiring as other books of the series but still, the arc becomes a bit drawn out at this point.
