Ok secret assassin (sent to kill her) vs secret prince (who she was fled before their arranged marriage) love triangle?? The “I was sent to kill you, but fall in love with you” trope! Lots of secrets, and tension. I feel like a lot of people who like ya fantasy/action, battle/war, love triangle types of books would really like this. I enjoyed it, however it took quite a while to get into it. I think I will be continuing with the series. Be warned, it does have shifting POVs, I know some people don’t like that, but personally, in this case, I did like it. I feel like this is very good for the genre. I only didn’t rate it higher because I’m not really wanting to reading books like this right now (I want to read more contemporary romance) that’s just a personal preference. I might enjoy this more and rate it higher when I am in the fantasy reading mood.
Age rating: maybe 13+, some action/violence/gore
