Ross Poldark by Winston Graham

I am so happy to have finally got to this book! I am still in awe at how alike the new BBC adaptation is to the book, it is practically worked for word in most chapters and I really appreciate that.
What I loved most about this book is how unique the story line is...but it also worries me that one day someone will try to copy and nowhere near do it justice. I also loved how many characters you learn about in this first book in what is a 12 book series and all of these characters are profoundly unique and in the space of one book only 312 pages long go through so much character development.
Reading this book has made my love for Poldark even stronger and I will be forever shipping Ross and Demelza. And I cannot wait to read the next one!!
