I absolutely loved this book! So excited to know that it has a second book coming out soon! A mix of spice, adventure, and warriors! Freya, the main character changes so much and I enjoyed following her journey. Bjorn was mysterious and charming. The battle between who would control Freya, their use of her as a weapon, and a general topic of disregard of women and their roles. I found it inspiring that Freya found her voice! Her powers are marvelous! I had a hunch that she would be a child of two gods! But so surprised Hel would be the second god. What an interesting combo of a goddess who protects and then a god who can destroy and is involved in the death of people.
