Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
5.0

As someone who grew up with Studio Ghibli's movie to this book I was tempted to read this novel for a long time until I finally got my hands on it.
To settle the whole debate about books and their movie adaption... They are both amazing. Miyazaki painted wonderful whimsical pictures to get lost in and took parts of the story to create an entertaining tale. The book takes you on another journey entirely. As it's told more from Sophie's perspective we learn more about her mindset. All the characters we learn about are very interesting and so different to each other.
The end could give a bit of a pause as it seems a bit anticlimatic, but I guess it can be read as more of a story going for experiences on the journey and not a big bang at the end to settle everything.
I guess to fully grasp the story I'll read it a second time and will look into finding the whole series.
