I really loved this! An Odysseian, western-horror that very much reminded me of all the best parts of BETWEEN TWO FIRES by Christopher Buehlman. Lovable characters you could get behind, despite (and even because of) their flaws . A really terrifying, powerful, and yet vulnerable morally gray witch character who was very well drawn. Great horror set pieces, exciting gun battles, swinging saloon doors, three fingers of whiskey, and some of the best ghosts I’ve read in a long time. When this book went western, it went guns blazing. When it went horror, it went hard. But perhaps best of all was the voice in which Grecian writes this tale - fantastic! I will definitely go on to read the sequel soon.
