Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James

3.0

This was... a lot.
I enjoyed about 300 pages in the middle, really appreciated the way I got to know Tracker and his companions on his quest. But I spent so much time on this book being confused, not knowing what was happening, when, with whom, where, how etc etc. I enjoyed the story, but the reading experience, not so much. Possibly my discomfort with the fantasy genre in general (although there are many exceptions and I hoped this would have been one). I'm extra curious about A Brief History of Seven Killings now, though!
