The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Promise by David Stuart Davies

4.0

Davies is king. By far, he's my favorite writer that does the different Holmes cases, and I have never met one that I didn't like. For sure, when I think of Blackwood, I'll think of this case rather than the Ritchie movie that came out in 2009. Of course, I had Gatiss's Sherlock and John in mind for the whole case, then I also had Lord Blackwood in my head for Enoch. (For Arabella, I had Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix, but whatever.) This was a fun little tale that took me about an hour to read. I'd certainly buy this one for myself when I get the chance.
