Ouran High School Host Club, Vol. 1 by Bisco Hatori

I first watched Ouran back when I was in elementary (omg) and then I rewatched it with my younger sister in 2023. Despite the many problematic tropes and the ending, the anime is definitely one of my favorites! As someone whose favorite character is Hikaru, I wondered if the manga expounded on his story and also if the anime had left out many scenes from the original manga (as adaptations of literature often do hehe).
So I read it back in August, and I was converted from a HikaHaru supporter to a TamaHaru supporter immediately. The manga is soooo much better at conveying Tamaki and Haruhi's chemistry and, yes, I would say that almost every character got a satisfying story and ending! I got so giddy every time I saw something new! Seeing Bisco Hatori's art style change over the volumes was also nice because the characters began to look more like their anime counterparts (which is what I'm more used to as an anime-first fan). But I loved it from the first volume to the last! My sister kept looking at me weirdly every time I'd kick my feet up and squeal like a teen at the romantic scenes. I loved it that much!
All I have to say is that they need to make a new adaptation of this manga. And hopefully with more than one season so everyone can fully experience the joy that is Ouran High School Host Club.
