When the Five are asked to stay in a tiny cottage overlooking Whispering Island to look after Wilfred, a young boy, the temptation to visit the island is too much for them. There they find treasures hidden from the world, guarded by men.

Obviously there's an adventure to be had, with a bit of mild peril thrown in. The adventures became rather tame some books ago, yet I can't help giving five stars for the nostalgia and comfort they give me.
