The Kitchen Daughter
by Jael McHenry
The whole Ginny-can-summon-ghosts-by-making-their-recipes thing was a little bizarre (definitely suspension of disbelief), but the thing I enjoyed most was reading a book written in the point of view of someone with Asperger's syndrome. It really opened my eyes to what goes on in the head of someone with a disorder such as this one, and helped me to understand more of how people think and cope with everyday life. This was a very easy read, and very entertaining and intriguing. No sex, no violence, just good wholesome reading.
