After the disappointment that was Carrie Soto, I can’t even begin to tell you how relieved I am to be reminded of why I cherish Taylor Jenkins Reid’s writing so much. This was an achingly beautiful book with a unique concept: after her husband is thought dead in a helicopter crash, Emma heals and eventually finds love again... Only to discover years later that her husband survived the crash.

Although a little bit too repetitive, this was filled with the everyday wisdom, introspection and hope I love so much about TJR’s books. It’s a romance, but it’s also a life lesson on grief, growing and moving on from a true love that was meant to be, only to find it again somewhere else. In one word, poignant.

I can’t wait to see this on screen (I'll try to hide my tears in the cinema).
