Where the Deer and the Antelope Play: the Pastoral Observations of One Ignorant American Who Loves to Walk Outside by Nick Offerman

adventurous funny hopeful reflective slow-paced

4.0

As an aspiring rambler, the parts of this book dedicated to outdoor adventures were inspiring. As an American expat, the parts of the book dedicated to the country's sins were disheartening. Yeah, it was preachy and isn't going to change anyone's mind, but I honestly think Offerman just needed to get these thoughts and feelings off his chest. It wasn't the best edited non-fiction I've ever read, but I still enjoyed it immensely, and listening to the audiobook in Offerman's own voice was a real treat.
