Hired for the Holidays by Raquel Riley
5.0
The final Hearts for Hire book did not disappoint. Adam and Jones were everything I wanted but didn’t know that I needed. This was a far lighter storyline than I was expecting and the minimal angst was exactly what a holiday foray with our boys should be.
Adam is the lone escort working over the holidays when he gets a request from Jones Marin’s secretary. His services have been requested for holiday parties for Jones’ company. He’s expected to show up as Jones’ date, wearing the clothes Jones has picked out for him, look handsome on Jones’ arm and fit in with the wives & girlfriends of Jones’ partners and employees. Since Adam doesn’t fit the usual type Jones requests, he attempts to get out of the booking, but Jones is intrigued by him and his offer to back out is refused.
Jones doesn’t usually want his paid dates to look like his actual type, but Adam sounds like he can go toe-to-toe with him, and Jones is nothing if not determined once his mind is made up. When Adam shows up after refusing to let the car service pick him up from his home, wearing something that looks incredible on him – but is most certainly not what Jones picked out for him, holds his own with the Executive Wives Club (as they call themselves) and has everyone convinced that he’s the real deal and not the paid date Jones usually attends these events with, he realizes that he’s quite possibly met his match.
With off-the-charts chemistry, a desire to spoil and to be loved for who they are and not what they offer, Jones & Adam are a beautiful match made in literary heaven. There is no angst and an incredibly happy ending… many happy endings, if one wants to be specific about things. We even get cameos from our favourite guys and that makes this book even more enjoyable. If you need a smile, some heat and some sweet, Hired for the Holidays is for you.
I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy and, as always, my review is unpaid and honest.
