This is a highly engaging book. It is very real, Sonia does a great job of conveying the reality and heartbreak of the situation. You can tell that she is a newspaper journalist, but that doesn't detract from the content of the book. If you have friends or family that came from Central American countries, this will help you have a much better appreciation for the difficulty they went through to get here. Give this a read if you want to understand the struggles of illegal immigrants here in the United States!
