The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas
5.0

I really enjoyed this book and a look into the notorious assassin Celaena’s life before Throne of Glass. Is she really really the world’s greatest assassin? Or is she just a cocky 16 year old? It was a great story and showed her moral compass. Especially when she freed all those slaves.

It’s so obvious that Arobynn is the one that betrayed Celanea and set up the capture. She has this weird stockholm syndrome allegiance to him and views him as a fatherly figure that she can’t in a thousand years fathom the idea that if he can’t have her then no one can.

A lot of her talking about how she’s the greatest assassin ever is just a lot of talk and her being an egotistical teenager, because for her to miss the obvious signs and the reverse psychology Arobynn was using on her had me shaking my head. Like girl, open your eyes!!
