The Renegade Wife by Caroline Warfield

5.0

This one is going on my all-time favorites list! It's been awhile since I was hooked on a book so much that I didn't want to put it down and I didn't want to put this one down. I loved it from page one when we meet Meggy and her children. There is a lot in this book to keep you on the edge of your seat from Rand's past and family to the battle to save Meggy and the kids. I loved the planning that went into stopping Meggy's husband and what he was involved in. They both had walls built up to protect themselves for different reasons. I didn't want this book to end.

Meggy is a very strong woman that can be admired for what she does. She has been through so much and will do anything to protect her kids from their father. I loved her from the start and how she kept her head up even when she was back with her husband. When she helps Rand in the plan to stop her husband it showed how brave she was and even with what happens to her she recovers.

Rand had my heart from the start when he saved Cat. He doesn't fully trust women after what happened with his family so he comes off as mean, but you can he has been hurt in the past. I loved how protective he was and how he followed them to save them and how he was with his family. He put himself at risk to save them more than once and didn't push things.

Ran's family sounds like so much fun to be around and so do Meggy's children. I wanted to know more about his family and know what happens to little Johnny.
