Took me a while to get into it but it is such a well-written novel-can’t believe it’s a debut. Kya’s [the protagonist] life in the marsh brought vivid and captivating descriptions. She However drove me crazy with her predictable romantic advances which ultimately bore me to a degree where I was rolling my eyes enough, I feared they would remain at the back of my head but I digress. The random A.H. poetry exerts were a delight and ultimately Kya surprised me and I was given a deliciously satisfactory ending -licking my fingers as we speak.
