I enjoyed most of the book, though the beginning and the end were the low points. I was kind of bored at the beginning, but as the plot picked up and the second family came I was more interested, and also less frustrated! In the end I was just kind of disappointed with the answers we got. I guess I get the reason they’re in the dome, but it doesn’t feel sufficient. Also, I was kind of sad that Xavier seemed to accept never seeing his mom and brother again, that seemed to be so important for most of the book!
