Okay, this was a really really good reading, it was sweet, sort of quirky and fun. The kind of slow burn that I love. There isn't much angst going on so it's basically stress free.

Though I just said it's a stress free reading, Emily's character is the the kind that makes me feel almost like suffocating when reading their story (at least the first half of it), not because of what they do or don't do, but because how they feel and what they go through, the powerless sensation of not being able to enter the story to help in any way possible like in that forgotten lunch and dinner table scene. This must be how Skye feels LOL

Anyway, Emily was a sweetheart and it was really nice to witness her change, becoming someone much more light. And Skye, she was so nice, fun and so resilient (she has awful parents, yikes). Her quirky trivia notes were so cool, loved them. She did fucked up though. I do get the sentiment and where it came from, but it's so directed to the wrong person; if Emily was the developer I'd be on her side, but she was the damn architect (ofc one can remove themselves of a bad business, but this wasn't the case). White Knight indeed!!! But I'm glad things worked out. I think booking a therapist too would be the sensible thing to do, she seem to have some stuff to unpack haha.

Except for the ex, the whole supporting cast was amazing, loved everyone even if they didn't appear that much.
