this was a hard book to rate, and an even harder book to read. i feel for eden and was crying for her the whole time. eden is a character you root for, even when she's going through the aftermath of the horrible event that happened to her, you understand why she chose to do what she did, you just hope that she will be courageous enough to tell her story someday. and even though this book is far from a romance and it is rather a young woman's story of abuse, the love interest in this book was so wonderful. i cannot wait to read the sequel and see eden and josh get their long-awaited happy ending.
