I love Neil Gaiman, but this collection was not a favorite.
There were a couple really awful fan fictions (for lack of a better word) in this book, and I've realized that I find most of his poetry kind of boring.
Gaiman excels when he combines fantasy with ancient religion and sets it in our modern universe, though. Those stories were, without fail, always very good. He has another "American Gods" short story in this collection that was really great.
Worth reading if you have time, but not if you have a million other things on your reading list.
