I really enjoyed On the Come Up and the story it told of Bri's life and the struggles she has to face.

I thought it had some really believable scenes where the characters actually act their age and respond to situations as teenagers and different from one another due to their own life experiences. That everyone is different and even between friends people will respond differently to one another and no one response is right or wrong.
Whilst I'm sure it is accurate for a lot of people it was infuriating to see Bri bottling everything up and never talking to anyone about her problems and instead trying to take on the world. I was happy that she did find a good support network for herself.
I was also shocked as an Australian just how different the schooling systems are between us and the United States.

All in all I thought this was a story that really highlighted all the different struggles that people can go through.
