The stories in the book are interesting, and the author has chosen some obscure female figures who truly deserve their time in the limelight. It's great that this book offers that in an accessible way. That being said, the (attempted) humour in this book to keep the subject matter light-hearted was a little too much for me. A few sarcastic comments or jokes are greatly appreciated, but the writing style started to distract me from the content of the book.
