I recommend this book. It frustrated me at points and it also widened my heart.
There's so much I liked about this book. The characters and their relationships were stunningly depicted, and the author challenged the ideas of truth and home in unexpected ways.
My feelings on the structure of the book are more complicated. The second person delivery and allusion to a beloved feels stilted halfway through the book and I don't feel like the storytelling flailed because of this. The second of the book crammed so many interesting things in a small space, which made them harder to appreciate than the stories from the earlier chapters.
