Micah's grandfather always told him about the marvellous Circus Mirandus that he'd had the pleasure of visiting when he was a lad, and Micah has always believed the magical story. But when grandfather is dying and Great-Aunt Gertrudis comes to care for both of them, seeds of doubt are sown. On top of that there's the friend at school who only believes what is scientifically provable.

But everything changes when Micah's grandfather calls in the miracle promised him by one of the circus artistes ....

This is a lovely story with a nice mixture of magic and of friendship and of loyalty.
