The Complete Drive-In by Joe R. Lansdale

Having been a fan of Hap & Leonard and some of his shorts I dove into more Lansdale. I wasn't a fan of most and kept this one as a back up. How could I not love this one? After barely getting through book one (interesting characters but once it veers into splatterpunk it was just aimless) - book two bored me so much off the bat I skipped through it. In the end what could have been a fun premise as a short gets spread out into a Dark Tower saga parody with not enough humor and shlock to make it worth the time.
