This is a YA contemporary for writers.

It actually encouraged me to get my notebooks out and get cracking on writing because inspiration! This follows Tilly Frost, the granddaughter of famous romance author Beatrix Frost, and her need to help her sick grandmother finish a long and well-loved book series. In that, she tries to gain inspiration for writing a romance by trying to have some romance, starting off with a first kiss.
This prompts me to the romance, which was fine and sometimes it's frustrating to know that the protagonist is blind to someone who is obviously not good. They learn the long and hard way, while you're waiting for her to realise that the other guy is better. Who, I absolutely loved by the way, I always seem to like that kind of character.
I think the characters overall were all a lot of fun, the quirky grandma was fantastic, and they all absolutely fit the bill of a fluffy YA novel.

The only thing that I didn't enjoy was how slow this book was at times. It did take a while for the plot to actually get going, and I did struggle one or two times to pick it back up again. I'm glad I did though - really liked it overall!

This novel is due for release May 3rd - thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for supplying me with a copy of this book!
