wow, this was insane, but absolutely amazing! i spent most of this reading experience in complete shock at what i was consuming, but all the same it was very enjoyable.
i often felt as though Natsuki’s feelings about being an alien and how she didn’t fit into the world was a metaphor for being autistic. many of the passages were very relatable to the autistic experience, but i don’t know if that was the author’s intention or just a coincidence, but either way it was a really cool thing to read!
this book definitely isn’t for everyone, it has a lot of disturbing imagery and the themes are very dark at times, but if you think you can handle that, i definitely recommend reading Earthlings!
