- I loved that this wasn’t just a story about a girl falling in love with her late fiance’s friend. It really dove deep into the way people change over time and circumstances and experiences are what make you who you are.
- In Lydia’s dreams with her fiancé, over time she realizes that they aren’t the perfect fit that they used to be. I adored this storyline — it wasn’t about her fiance having never been “the one.” He was, at one point. But his death changed her, shaped her like every experience in our lives. And the new Lydia? Her “the one” isn’t the same man.
