Kristin Cashore is one of the few authors who I will read anything they write. As expected, I loved this book. This one is the best one yet. I cannot express how much her books mean to me. Her books are healing.

Cashore knows how to write the tender moments and the squeezing, stinging emotional pain. Her prose has gotten so powerful and literary and loving. I can’t recommend this book enough.
