I'm sorry but wtf just happened? *exhales* This book was definitely not what I was expecting, it's so much more than what the synopsis says.
So this book got straight into the action, it was fast paced and interesting with colourful characters. I loved the dynamic between Lemon and Eve as well as Cricket. Their little disheveled family was so adorable. The setting was rich and well described, I could perfectly picture the world.
The romance wasn't my favourite part of the book as I feel as though there was no development. We never really saw Eve and Zeke become friends or really fall in love. It was almost insta-love as they automatically just loved one another I just wished there was a little more of a back-story. But I mean now that I think about it that kinda makes sense considering the plot twist later on.
The friendship I loved between Lemon and Eve, they just bounced off one another's energy and I loved their humour. Lemon's got to be my favourite character.
Okay but seriously the last 100 pages were so good. Both Lemon and Ezekiel's revelations were insane! I could kinda see where Zeke was coming from in shooting Eve but holy crap I had no idea Lemon was the real one with powers. And at the very end when Eve sent Lemon and Zeke away was heart breaking. How can she not be the real Ana! Wtf! And now she's teaming up with Gabriel??? What the shit is gonna happen.
Over all this was a great novel but the one problem I had was that Ana's memories got a bit repetitive, the same lines being said over and over. Other than that it was pretty good and makes up for Jays other not so good book Illuminae. XD
