Georgie, All Along by Kate Clayborn

5.0

I will be honest---I found this book a little slow in the beginning. I found the first 25-30% of the book ok at best, boring at worst, and I wasn’t really sure if I should continue on…but man am I happy that I did! “Georgie, All the Way” is a fun, entertaining but not overly dramatic romantic fiction book that I’d highly recommend for anyone looking for a cute, quick read.

I really loved Georgie and Levi. Though I thought the way they came together at first was a bit fast and clumsy, both characters come across as good people with their own demons that you can’t help but root for. I also think their differences is what made them such a fun couple to root for. Georgie is a free spirit who has the support of friends and family, even though at present she doesn’t know where she belongs in life. Levi has a strong tie to his home and his life, but his past issues with his family has made it hard for him to extend himself past his dog Hank and a few coworkers. In a way, they are perfect for each other because each has what the other needs, and that’s what makes their chemistry work so well.

The supporting cast is awesome in this book as well. Bel is a great best friend to Georgie and their friendship is a beautiful representation of women supporting each other. Georgie’s parents are kooky but supportive and understanding when they need to be. Even Levi’s siblings, where much of his conflict lies, have enough depth that you want to, and eventually do, like them. And special shout out to Hank for being super cute and a happy addition wherever he is added.

If you just started this book and aren’t sure if you’re feeling it, I highly encourage you to keep going. I was really pleasantly surprised when I realized I went from ‘reading to read’ to ‘not being able to put this book down’. A solid 4.5/5 star read for me even though it started a bit slow for me, it’s definitely one I think it worth reading!
