Kudos by Rachel Cusk

“A degree of self-deception, she said, was an essential part of the talent of living.”
“You can't tell your story to everybody, I said. Maybe you can only tell it to one person.”
my 1st 5star read for March and 8th 5star read of the year (2024) This book is my introduction to Rachel Cusk’s writing and her snappy sentences, it is fluid and engaging despite the lack of chapters or even a central plot.
It starts with Faye, a publisher on her way to promote her book in Europe and she was sitting next to a strange man on a plane whom she tells her life story as a writer, a wife, the death of her dog and these conversations expand to more topics like art, politics, joy, sorrow, love, family, injustice and other human relationships.
