I have already watched the first two seasons of the animated adaption and was just waiting for all the books to be out so I could binge through them. I already loved the show, but reading the book made me appreciate how faithful the adaption is. Still, I cherished every moment of Xie Lian's thoughts, especially when he was interacting with Hua Cheng. Their relationship brings me such joy and I can't wait to jump into the next volume. As always, seven seas danmei delivers an excellent translation interspersed with beautiful art. I actually felt like out of the various danmei i've read published by seven seas, this might have had the most art? Regardless, if you are considering jumping into this series, absolutely do it.
