Deliberately slow which made it less scary for me tbh as I was piecing together exactly what happened! I spent 1 night on the other stories and 2 on The Turn of the Screw, which was by far the best story - made me wish I'd actually just bought it on its own! I did like the story about the ghost in a church though and the concept of seeing deaths! Turn of the Screw made me shiver as well as having a humour to it. Finally a Victorian writer acknowledged how weird "perfect" children are! Open to a lot of interpretation exactly what went on.
Minor: Sexism
