what am i meant to gain from this? that it’s okay to be a terrible person just because you feel sad?? i didn’t see any development happen in this narrator but it suddenly occurs in the last fifteen pages because of her shitty coping mechanisms. that when she reveled in her own sadness she was able to rejuvenate like some sort of rest cure? everything ties up in a page and a bit, without any proper accountability or realization.
