Though still really good, I did not enjoy this volume as much as the two previous, and I'm not really sure why. John Constantine is still a compelling character, but he felt like less of an actor in this story. He took on a more passive role, to me, than he has up to this point.

Sure, he did some sleuthing and all, but he was pretty powerless in the face of all the bad. Perhaps that was the point, though. Even our protagonists are powerless to stop things from going wrong sometimes. I'm looking forward to the next volume. It's hard to see how things will ramp up from here, though!
